The perfect boot
After reading reviews I bought the 6.5, half a size up, and they’re a great fit. Beautiful leather, lovely, versatile color, and really elegant. I have a narrow foot, and the fit is ideal but if you run wide, heads up, because the shank is on the narrow side of medium, and the toe box might be tight for you. They slip on and off easily, have a great fit around the ankle – they skin, and don’t flop, as some Chelsea and other ankle boots can. I love the sole; there’s a nice non-skid rubber bit, but it’s not bulky. These will look equally great with jeans as with tights and skirts or leggings, and with dresses all year (where are my fellow GenX people?). I’ve been thinking about these since last year and debated about the price point, but the quality is excellent, and I expect them to last a long time, and get a beautiful patina with wear. If you have high arches consider an insole, though they’re surprisingly comfortable for being as flat as they are. I wouldn’t miss out on these; they’re going to be in heavy rotation next to my Sorels. It doesn’t surprise me to see so many reviews about people wearing them in Europe; they are that cool, that understated, that hip, without looking at all like you’re trying to be trendy. A classic boot worth every penny.

Beautifully made boot, but size up half a size
Beautiful shoe (love the olive color) but like many reviewers have stated, it does run a bit narrow and short, even for those with narrow feet. I’m a 7.5 in most shoes, including boots, but I can also wear a size 8. I bought these in a 7.5 but the fit was “too perfect “ and a little tight in the toes, so I’m returning for an 8. Sadly, I’ll have to wait at least a week to get them.

Disappointed in quality of leather
2/15 update: The seller reached out to me and agreed that what happened to the leather of my boots was a problem. They offered to exchange the boots for no fee, and I just received the new pair. I can’t speak yet to the longevity of the replacement pair but they look good so far, and I’m very appreciative of their great customer service!I was excited for these boots but am a disappointed after two months of wear. After reading reviews, I sized up from an 8.5 to a 9. They were ever-so-slightly snug when I received them but did break in quickly, so that’s a plus. They also started to show signs of wear quickly which was less of a plus but fine. I live in a city, walk a lot, etc. so maybe I put a bit more mileage on them versus the average wearer. Comfort is okay. Not great, not terrible. I can wear them for a few hours of straight walking/being on my feet and it’s fine, but after that I begin to wish there was more cushioning/support.The biggest disappointment is the quality of the leather, which seems cheap. I know these are considered a less expensive leather boot option, but the way these scuff and are aging seems different than my other leather boots (and again, this is only after 2 months of wearing them maybe 4 days/week). There even seems to be less of a scuff and more of a rip which I’ve never had happen in a pair of leather shoes. It almost seems like the leather is fake. I have no idea how this happened. I wore them for about 15 minutes of walking outside and 3 hours of sitting in a class then boom, weird tear. I hoped to get a few years use out of these but am not so optimistic now. I’m going to take them to a cobbler to see if I can get the leather spruced up but will not be surprised if I end up buying new Chelsea boots next year. If that happens, I definitely won’t consider Thursday Boot Company which is a shame, because I wanted to support a smaller company.

Awesome boots!!
Love these boots! They are a bit snug but I just wore them enough to break them in and they are fine and comfortable for all day wear. I get so many compliments on them and the dark olive color looks great with so many outfits!

Unexpectedly low quality
Paid $160. Wore them for less than 2 months. Lost traction. Slippery. It is comfortable now but needed to be broken in. I had blisters. I am a normal weight person. Not exercising in these boots. Just wear them to school. Extremely disappointed to waste all that money. Possible only my pair was poorly made, but it was very very poorly made.After the company refused to reimburse me, but generously offered an up to $40 cobbler ticket, I purchased another pair of boots from Amazon (QIY), worn by the same feet, in the same city, for already longer time than the Thursday. I am attaching a side by side comparison for you to see the “normal wear and tear” of the $160 Thursday and the $49 QIY.

Looks sleek but ware almost immediately
Shoes arrived on a Friday. Looked sleek and very cool. Did a quick try on just to check fit and while a bit snug on the foot, lots of room around ankles. Not wholly uncomfortable and leather does always expand a bit, but, folks noting narrower fit at foot are true to words there.Wore the shoes first time today at work where I teach and walk around office and class mostly. No scuffing or hitting shoes on anything. When I took them off for a break at end of day, I noticed some black flakes on my one hand. The right shoe is perfect. Looks shiny. However, the left had some issues showing already with material coming off the sole and leather starting to strip off one small section. You barely notice it but when I came home and took off shoe, more came off. It’s just the one small section but at 160, I don’t expect shoes like this to do this after day one, and, as said, the right shoe is absolutely pristine.So, not sure what’s happening there but disheartening as that is likely to just keep getting worse.

My favorite pair of boots!!!!
These are my favorite pair of boots!!! They are a great quality…I absolutely love them!! I get compliments on them all of the time!! I usually wear a size 6, but will buy size 6.5 for boots…so that’s what I ordered and they fit perfectly.

Beautiful, dark brown. I bought my usual sneaker size and these are perfect and still have room in the toe area. My feet are narrow and I believe these boots are narrow so they are great for me. Better price on Amazon compared to the brand’s website.

I had really high hopes for these boots, but I am just disappointed. Thursday has a good reputation for men’s boots (quality at an affordable price). I was excited to try their Chelsea boot style. I have long feet and ordered a UK 8/US10 and the fit in the footbed is perfect, but they fit too wide on my ankles. Because the ankle fits wide my foot doesn’t feel secure on my foot and looks “off” to me. I can tell the leather is of good quality and the footbed feels very good as well. If you have a smaller foot and/or a larger ankle these might work better for you. But if you wear a big size and have normal to slim ankles, I’d avoid these boots!
