BEST. HEATING PADS. EVER. Must have!
This brand’s heating pads are the only ones I buy anymore. They don’t have that terrible “plastic-covered heating pad inside a fabric case” thing that most do (and deform and squish and generally don’t cooperate long term). They’re a nice soft fuzzy fabric, and the size of this one is huge. I have the size that is as long but narrower too, which is WONDERFUL for leaning against at my desk chair or on the couch when my back aches (which is often!). I have a lot of back issues, and often my back pain is pretty bad when I get up in the morning. Sitting against this at my desk, without any added medication, usually has it feeling 95% better within an hour or less. And, unlike most any other brand I’ve found, you can turn off the “auto off in 90 minutes” so it stays on as long as you want it to. At it’s highest level (6), it’s very nicely hot without scorching, I wouldn’t need it any hotter.I have used these for many years, and eventually after a few years of heavy use, they may die, but it is ABSOLUTELY WORTH replacing them every few years for the price and quality. I just moved to Costa Rica from the US, and bought several backups to bring with us so that when the ones in current rotation eventually die, we’ll have backups on hand without waiting for our next trip back to the US.Best brand of heating pads EVER!

Cords malfunction on this brand
The cords on this brand seems to give the blinking light of death. Second one to give out on me. Gave this brand a second chance in case the first one was just due to old age. I do really love that it is weighted, but having the cord go out on me in less than a year isn’t great for someone like me with chronic pain. I hope they can fix the cord issue. Will be going with another brand for the next one.

The good and the not so good
I have had the non-weighted version of this same heating pad for the last few years and it recently bit the dust. I decided I would pay a little extra and upgrade to this one. While I do like the weighted feature, I agree with other reviewers that this does not get as hot. With my previous pad it would be blazing hot at a 2-3 and with this one you have to get it up to 5-6 before it actually feels hot enough. Perhaps it’s the extra layer of weighted material in there preventing the heat to come through as much?Otherwise it is soft, the green color is nice and I do like that it stays in place better and seems to press into wherever you place it.

Heats up FAST!!
I love the fact that I can plug it in, turn itnup to #6, go wash my face and brush my teeth and come back and it is smoking hot! Setting it to the stay on mode is a game changer for me! I usually end up turning it down once I get in the bed otherwise my feet will be toast! And the fact that it’s heavy means that there’s no tent over my toes when I pull the covers up… the weighted heating pad lays directly on my feet and I can sleep soundly!

Works well as a cat sleeping pad but gets too warm on lowest setting
I got this for my senior cat to sleep on in her kitty spot on the couch. It’s a great size, I appreciate that I can set it and it’ll time out eventually. My one drawback is that even the lowest setting gets a little warm for a skinny old cat. I know this is not meant for cats, however, if the lowest setting is too warm for a cat I think it should have a lower setting. I imagine it could get too warm even on the lowest setting for a human who isn’t able to adjust it.
