Versatile, neutral palette
Great quality neutral palette containing shimmers & mattes to give versatile looks. The color story certainly isn’t revolutionary, but I think it’s one that will work for a lot of people and I love that it contains some cooler shades along with some warmer and it’s got a little more to offer than most neutral palettes (like the naked palette for instance, ugh) It’s pretty foolproof to combine these shades, I don’t think you could make a bad color combo with them. My personal favorite is the dark plum purple shade, it’s gorgeous and can be used in your crease, to smoke out your lower lashes, and as eyeliner too or to make a purple smoky eye look. The mattes are very creamy and blendable, with a good amount of pigmentation and little fallout & the shimmers are silky with very fine shimmer particles that give an almost metallic look (not “glittery” at all). They adhere nicely to my eyes with very little fallout and stay in place throughout the day (I like to apply with my fingertip then blend the edges with a fluffy brush if needed). Would definitely recommend and I think this palette would work for a lot of people.

Not pigmented and only lasts around 4 hours.
I have been wearing makeup for most of my life. I love all things beauty and skincare related. I don’t let price or popularity influence what I purchase. I first started wearing Jouer cosmetics about 8 years ago. I had only tried their bronzer and blush until this year. When I saw this palette, I fell in love with it. It is a neutral palette with 8 shades. There are 4 mattes and 4 shimmers. The pans are rather large so should last a good while. I switched the shades and was not impressed. For reference, I have fair skin. Lace is barely visible on my arm, along with Lustre. Mauve switched super patchy and with little pigment. I tried to build each shade, and they did eventually build up some. However, Mauve was still patchy. The shade that had the most payoff is Cognac. I know that shadow can apply very differently on the lids than just switched on an arm. After applying to my lids, I am disappointed. I still had the same issues with lack of pigmentation and patchiness. Blending wasn’t as easy as I prefer. Lastly, the shadows only lasted about 4 hours each time I used this palette. Overall, I don’t recommend paying this price for only 8 shades when they don’t last even an 8-hoir shift. There are other brands that have amazing pigmentation and staying power for a fraction of this price.

Very Natural
This eyeshadow palette includes both mattes and shimmers. The shades are very natural, but I did find a couple of them to lack a bit in pigment. I don’t wear much makeup, but I like to have some on hand. I was glad to find a palette with such pretty, natural shades, but it didn’t last long on my lids. I do tend to have to reapply after a handful of hours because I have hooded lids, so maybe it’s just an issue that I had.

Beautiful Day-to-Night Eyeshadow Palette
This Jouer Prêt-à-Porter Eyeshadow Palette is really nice! I love the mix of neutrals and more formal tones -it makes it easy to create anything from a fresh daytime look to a more formal evening style. It would make a great gift for a wide range of skin tones, from light to deep. The built-in mirror is also a nice bonus. It’s a good size and perfect for touch-ups on the go or while traveling.

Super-Subtle
I love the blushes from Jouer but this is the first eyeshadow palette that I’ve tried from them and I’m not impressed. The color story is pretty but the formulas of the shadows are lacking.First of all, the shadows are inconsistent in formula; the darkest matte shade is very pigmented but all of the other mattes are incredibly light and difficult to build. I realize that they’re designed to be lighter shades but they just don’t have much payoff and they hardly show up, even on my light skin. The shimmers are also very subtle and almost require a few layers to really have any impact.Realistically, I doubt that these shades will really show up on anyone who doesn’t have a light skintone because they just aren’t pigmented enough. This palette might be nice for someone who appreciates a very understated barely-there eyeshadow look but it just isn’t my personal style and I don’t see myself reaching for it in the future.

Lovely, but expensive, eye shadow
This palette delivers a beautiful range of wearable mattes and shimmers that blend effortlessly and look stunning on the eyes. The pigmentation is impressive, giving you rich color payoff whether you’re going for something soft and natural or a full glam moment. I love that the formula is crease-resistant, talc-free, vegan, and dermatologist-tested—it feels gentle while still performing like a high-end product. The travel-friendly paper palette with a built-in mirror makes it easy to take on the go without adding bulk. Each shade—from the warm matte crème Lace to the shimmering blush pearl in Lustre—applies smoothly and layers beautifully, especially when used damp for extra intensity. It is definitely on the pricey side, but the quality and versatility help justify the cost if you enjoy reliable, everyday-to-glam eyeshadow looks.

Palette of everyday usable shades
I love that this palette has all shades that I will actually wear! The ones that should be sparkling, are. The matte shades are excellent for shading. These are very complimentary to my green eyes, and go with everything. Blendable colors, these can be made much more intense with a damp brush. Magnetic closure on the case, mirror in the lid. No noticeable smell, extremely fine texture.

An unfortunate miss.
This eye shadow palette by Jouer is an unfortunate miss for me and my medium deep neutral skin tone. I really had to swipe hard on each shade to get any color payoff on my hand. On my eyes, these cool toned neutral shades are muddy and lightly pigmented and the shimmers barely shimmered. Please see my hand swatches for reference. Yes, that is the brown shade that is barely visible to the far right.I might see myself attempting the gold shade again but probably not, seeing as I have many similar but much more pigmented choices to choose from.
