Used for peri oral dermatitis
Cautiously optimistic – I purchased this to help with my peri oral dermatitis that I’ve had for years. I apply a small amount in the morning and before bed to the affected area. It’s been less than two weeks and I’m already noticing less bumps and redness. It’s allowed me to give my skin a break from covering it up with make up which I know was probably prolonging symptoms. I’m very happy so far!

Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this product’s formulation. Skin irritation, gone. Closed comedones, gone. Redness, gone. Breakouts, NONE. Skin radiance, on FULL EFFECT.After using this for a year, I tried to find a product comparable- Changarloud 14% A.A. and others. Instant break outs. I tried to use an A.A. serum instead. Instant break outs. Stop using for 2 weeks. HAHA, INSTANT BREAK OUTS. Every time, I’d switch back to this product, and 24 hours later the acne would clear, leaving little to no PIH.I don’t know what ingredient/ingredients in this product that work so well with my skin, but I’ve turned into a lifelong customer. The formulation has drastically improved my skin health. I only hope they do not change it.The sticking point is the price and packaging. I’ve resorted to immediately cutting the tube open and placing the cream into a disinfected 1 oz jar. It’s the only way to ensure all the product is used. Yet again, Paula’s Choice collects its monthly tribute.4/5 Stars due to price compared to product volume. I want to hug and choke the product developers.

Absolute game changer!
I’ve tried a whole lot of products but nothing showed immediate results like this did. Took away all redness which has plagued me for a decade. My skin is so light and even toned, it almost looks bleached because I’m just so used to redness. I mix it with a niacinamide serum after toner and before moisturizing and it has not only softened my skin, it has changed the texture. Once again, Paula’s Choice absolutely knocks it out of the park.Edited in Nov to add: after two months, I switched mixing it with my serum to mixing it with my moisturizer and it seems to yield better results that way, even though I didn’t think it could get any better! Helps even the skin tone and texture and mattifies my final step even when mixed with a heavy moisturizer that usually leaves my skin shiny. I’m 38, daughter is 14 and we both use this daily. It’s a must-have staple in both our daily routines and even with two people using it twice daily, this little tube lasts us about 3 months. It’s a little pricey but totally worth every penny.

I’m so glad I found this product. It very slowly transformed my skin in the best way.
I have acne. It’s mild now. four months ago (and for the last two years before that), my face was a swollen, blotchy mess much of the time.Then I started using this, and I took a photo of my face every day for all that time to see the progress, because here’s the thing about azelaic acid: It can behave like a (safe, non-resistance-forming) antibiotic for your skin, but it is very slow to show results. As I review my photos, I can see that for about two months of using this I didn’t really have a noticeable improvement. But then, after that, I can see a gradual improvement. By month four, my skin is so much better that I don’t think I’ll ever stop using this.No, my skin isn’t perfect. I have redness on my nose that appears to have resulted from acne, and I still get small zits here and there, but my days of deep, swollen, achy, itchy zits that last for weeks are gone. I haven’t had one like that in well, about two or three months.If you’re considering getting this, but you’re put off by the price, I get you. I thought so too. But this bottle lasts about two months if you use it twice a day, because you really don’t use a lot. So it isn’t as bad as it seems.I use this product as the very last in my night time skin routine — and I use it anywhere I can feel I will have a zit, anywhere I have one, and where I’ve recently had one — but I also just put a thin amount in the places I know have a tendency to breakout.I also use it in the morning, but then only a very small amount beneath sunscreen and makeup. It has a tendency to pill unfortunately, so you’ll need to be particularly careful with it. In the daytime use an extra tiny little bit of it. Moisturize the areas it will be on extra, let the moisturizer sink in, apply this, and gently pat products on top, don’t rub. For real, don’t rub or it’ll come right off (you can rub it in when applying it, just not once its been on your skin for more than about a minute).It can be a bit itchy. In my case its really only itchy when its on too thickly. This also gets better over time.I’ve found other spot treatments to be too harsh and drying, and/or not work well. This isn’t the fastest spot treatment, but if you can be patient, this is just awesome.

Wonderful product, didn’t expect to see results in at least as 7 to 10 days, had PIH spots which were were fresh and really darker than my skin tone, glad they’re almost gone, plus facial skin feels softer and more radiant, can’t wait to see full results

Their marketing make it look like a nomal size but it’s only 5 grams. Super expensive for this size. Not reccomended.
