Love it
I got a 100% wool scarf from a different vendor but the wool made my neck feel itchy the minute i tried it on. I am so happy that this one made with wool and alpaca feels comfortable and warm around my neck. Wish they make more solid colors! Highly recommend this product.

Gift
Bought as a gift. She loved it as red is her favorite color. Nicely made and very sift.

Not worth the money
I was on a waiting list for this scarf for a few months. I was excited to get a “soft as cashmere” scarf for the winter. I finally got it today and I am sending it right back! No way is this considered soft! It is scratchy, just like wool used to be! Also, the tag sewn on the scarf says “Made in Australia” but the care tag, also sewn on, is in Chinese!! Please see the photo. I don”t think this is a good value for the money at all! The color is pretty, but my neck doesn’t care about the color! It feels as though it will be warm, but I don’t want a scarf that is made in Australia (with Chinese care tag) or a scratchy scarf (this is very scratchy)…

Lovely scarf, very light, soft + toasty warm (but not large enough to be a shawl or pashmina)
This is a lovely, light-weight scarf. I chose the rhubarb-grey version which is a lovely plaid. The colors are rather subtle. The rhubarb is a muted rather than vibrant burgundy and the grey is a very soft shade. These two colors are highlighted by lighter shades of the same two colors as well as ivory and a light tracing of aqua. I think the plaid will look great with my dressier black or grey coats as well as with a denim jacket. The product description mentions that this can be worn as a scarf [true] stole [well, maybe] a shawl [no] or a pashmina [no]. The dimensions are provided, and the scarf is only 12″ wide, so while I suppose it could be worn as a light wrap or stole, it would be pretty skimpy. The length is perfect, however, and it can be worn as a scarf in many ways. The merino/alpaca wool is light-weight without being too thin and it feels soft and airy. I find it surprisingly warm. I love to wear merino wool, and I have a lot of sweaters and scarves in this fabric. I don’t have anything made of alpaca, which I understand is even lighter and warmer than merino wool, so I’m happy to have this cozy 90% merino/10% alpaca wool blend scarf. I like to keep things simple, so I fold it in thirds and usually just drape it around my neck, and let the long ends hang down. Or if it is really chilly or windy, I will wrap it around my neck once first and then tie it. I do not find this scarf to be at all itchy or irritating to my skin (although I don’t think I am particularly sensitive to wool, anyway). The fringe at each end is pretty but a bit thin and delicate. As other reviewers have noted, the sides have raw edges which does concern me a bit in terms of durability. I will hand-wash it in cool water, but I will be very careful doing so. The scarf arrived in a generic zip-lock bag so if giving this as a gift, someone might want to find a nice gift bag or gift box. The current price of this made-in Australia scarf is $34.99, which seems quite reasonable considering the quality of the wool.

Scratchy
Nice size. Color as shown on Amazon. Nice that it is made in Australia. It feels fairly soft in hand but within minutes itchy on the bare neck. It would be OK if warn over a turtleneck I suppose. I am a knitter and use premium wools so I expected 90% merino and 10% alpaca to very soft. I plan to wash it in Soak and see if it softens up, if so I will come back and update my review.

Love it!
Finally, instead of getting sweaty, I feel comfortably warm and cozy in cold, windy weather.Just the right balance – not too soft, not rough or scratchy (which may be expected from real wool).Absolutely love it!

After the original scarf appeared to be defective the manufacturer replaced the scarf at their cost, allowing us to also change the colour selection in the process. See review entitled ‘Happy resolution’ for a fuller story on how reputable companies will stand by their promises
