Absolutely Phenomenal Hat In Every Way
I absolutely love this GearTop hat. I purchased it because my doctor told me to wear sunscreen protection and specifically to wear a wide brimmed hat. I have tons of regular trucker style/baseball style hats, but needed a wide brim. This hat looks great. The color is perfect – not too light so it won’t get dirty and not too dark so it won’t absorb heat. The fit of the hat is also perfect for my large sized head (just as the fitment chart said). It is very lightweight so you’ll barely notice it on your head – no real extra weight whatsoever. The drawstring serves as both an adjustment for sizing as well as a way to lock the drawstring under your chin to keep it even more in place for those really windy days. So far I haven’t needed to lock in place as the hat fits so well. The thing that really sold me on this hat is the ventilation system. I hate hats that make your hotter and don’t ventilate well. This has ventilates amazingly because the circumference area on the upper part of the hat has a mesh that allows for airflow in and heat out. Everyone also thinks that I look pretty good in this hat as I get many compliments so far. The UVF of 50+ in the fabric is also perfect as many of the sun’s rays can get through most clothing. I truly cannot think of a better quality made hat that stays attractive. This hat ticks all the boxes for the perfect hat. Absolutely an emphatic recommend for anyone looking for a great sun hat, hiking hat, gardening hat, etc.

I bought this for my neighbor who was leaving for Hawaii with his wife. He loved it! It fit him perfectly. He tried out the pouch inside with a little frozen pad he usually uses to nurse a sprained finger. He said it cooled him off!It’s pretty thick and sturdy and the brim is wide enough to protect his face and neck in the sun, without being too wide. He’s had some skin cancers removed from his face and neck, so he was happy for the wide brim. His wife liked that it protects him better than his other hats that have more narrow brims. She also liked that it’s machine washable. While they say it’s not waterproof, we sprayed water on it and it ran off. I suppose if you stood in the rain for a while, the water might start making it through.He loved the color, the fit and the size. You can really only fold it in half, but that’s not a deal-breaker. I gave ut to him in the nice, thick, plastic zip bag ot came in. It was a home run!

Decent hat at a good price.
Comfortable but almost too tight for my big head. Keeps the sun off while working outside. Ugly as heck though. Comes all wrinkled, not like the ones worn by the models pictured.

Sturdy One-Size Sunhat
Although the hat arrives a bit flattened and wrinkled, the instructions explain how to remediate that. Other than these superficial appearance flaws, the hat is just as advertised. It is made of a nice-quality, smooth nylon, is adjustable to any head size, protects head and neck from sun, has a secure clasp, is well-ventilated with wrap-around mesh, and folds easily. It is a bit heavier than my previous sunhat, but that one did not have an SPF factor. It’s a good value for money and looks as if it will hold up to years of wear.

Thanks to the wide brim, this hat provides great protection/shade from the Sun! Face, head, and back of neck covered, but your head can still breathe (venting on top)!!!! Coloring (Khaki) is nice and deep and it’s a good quality material; very sturdy. Even with it being sturdy, you can still fold it in half. And finally, it’s very light on your head and easy to keep secure with the string (also sturdy)!! One last pro for me is the fact that you can snap the brim up for different looks! I would definitely recommend and will probably purchase a few more colors!

Great Sun Screen Hat
Great wide brimmed sun shade hat. It folds easily and looks great. Coverage is perfect for keeping the sun from burning your face and neck. It’s lightweight and fits good.

Brim is not really 3.75” and it’s too small on the sides
I would give this more stars if the brim were truly 3.75” all around. It’s a functional hat. But I don’t appreciate that the hats in the pictures look like they are in fact 3.75” but the hat they sell is not. So it does provide some coverage of the ears, which is good, and the pony-tail hole in the back is great. But with the narrow brim it sends more disheveled- fishing-hat-vibes, which is not what I’m going for. To be honest, when I’ve looked in the mirror I’ve said “meh” out loud. Worse when I’m walking the dog and the disheveled grampa hat is combined with multi-pocketed pants or shorts jammed with everything I could possibly need for a dog walk (eg poop bags, hand sanitizer—after opening trash cans or dealing with the odd complication), a bag of kibble for treats, tissues, phone… unattractively bulging, in other words). It looks even worse on a windy day, when I need the chin strap. And you DO need the chin strap on a windy day, since it blows off without it but still remains kinda stuck on your ponytail.I know the whole bad ensemble look isn’t entirely the hat’s fault, but the hat IS the unappealing topper that doesn’t even block out much sun for all that.The brim is about 3.75” in the BACK only—where I don’t’ really need the extra width. It’s barely 3.25” in the front, and it’s only 3” on the sides. That’s the problem. They skimped, and the result is that it looks like grampa’s fishing bucket hat, AND it fails to keep the sun off my face, unless it’s directly overhead.Other than that it’s a good hat. I might have given it 4 stars if the product information were not misleading and deceptive. Like I said, the ponytail hole in the back is great. Doesn’t look bad, does the job. It has an adjustment to the band that’s easy to work with and effective.The color is also a bit lighter than the picture would indicate. I would prefer it a little darker, more like the picture. I had also purchased one that was light blue, but the actual color was off-white. I had to return that one.Another positive is that it is nice when there’s a breeze. I can actually feel the breeze through the hat. Kinda nice.

I absolutely love this hat! The quality is outstanding—honestly better than I expected. The packaging alone impressed me; it came in a box so nice that I still keep it (better than some luxury brands like Louis Vuitton!).The hat itself is lightweight, bendable, and very easy to pack in my bag, which makes it perfect for travel or outdoor activities. It’s also easy to clean, which is a big plus.When it comes to sun protection, this hat does it all. The wide brim gives excellent coverage, shielding my neck, back, and front from the sun. I feel fully protected without feeling hot or heavy.Truly the best investment ever for anyone who spends time outdoors. Highly recommend it!

Es un producto de gran calidad, llegó bien empacado, con todos los sellos que lo validan como original, en una bolsita hermética. Lo he usado en el exterior y es muy cómodo a simple vista no es cualquier sombrero, es muy lindo y protege muy bien del sol, además que se amolda no es completamente duro y estorboso. Lo volveré a comprar en otro color, sin duda.
