This parka is a well-made, stylish, and practical choice for winter activities.
I recently got this camel-colored down parka in size medium, and it’s shaping up to be my go-to for winter snowsports. The quality is exceptional, with a thick, warm 750+ power fill that feels cozy without being bulky. The water-repellent exterior is perfect to hold up well snow, and the detachable hood with removable fuzzy fur detail adds versatility for different weather conditions. I love the practical design—large exterior pockets, a secure interior pocket, and a small dedicated pocket for a ski pass or card make it incredibly functional for outdoor adventures.On my 5’1” frame, with a 28-29” waist and 39” D bust, the medium fits comfortably, allowing room for layering without feeling oversized. The mid-length cut is perfect for keeping warm while moving freely on the slopes. My only slight critique is that the zipper can be a bit stiff initially, but it smooths out with use. This parka is a well-made, stylish, and practical choice for winter activities.

Nice but doesn’t quite stack up to name brand. Run a tad small. 5 actual ounces of down.
This is nice overall parka. But it has fewer amenities and less down than my comparable name brand parkas, so I feel the overall value is just mid.The fit is exactly as expected for a typical coat. However, I find that most of my parkas are built slightly bigger than a typical coat, to allow room for sweaters and layering underneath. This one is a bit tight for that. It will still work for me just fine, but if you’re in between sizes, I would size up.The XL size that I got has 5.92 ounces of actual down (varies slightly by size of coat). That is a small amount compared to my other parkas. My light weight parka has 13.4 ounces of down, and my heavier parka has 16.4 ounces of down.My heavier parka — which has 3x the amount of down as this one — is only rated to -15 degrees. However this Fitouch Arctic Shield Elite says it is rated for -22 degrees, which sounds optimistic.I love wearing it, and it’s incredibly warm. But I think it’s ideal for skiing, winter sports, and general winter wear. I just wouldn’t wear it for expeditions or anything too technical.The overall construction of the coat is very well done — durable, double and triple stitched, but there are also some cut corners.The zippers and buttons are plastic, which is fine, but I did struggle a little bit with them. However, one nice feature is the double zipper, so I can flare it out a little bit, to release heat or for sitting down.The sides also have zippers to flare out if needed. This is a fantastic feature, as it allows room for when I’m active, or just sitting down. However, this does not help much with sweaters and bottom layers, as the torso and bust are still a tad tight.I love the elastic cuffs for trapping heat, an essential feature for a cold weather parka. It also has cinching around the waist, also for warmth and to help keep out drafts.I also love the suspender shoulder harness feature, but they’re not well done at all. The straps are thin, scratchy, don’t stay in place, and are generally uncomfortable. It’s held into place with thin fabric loops that don’t feel durable at all.One thing that bothers me is the strap on the top of the hood. The strap is reflective, which is a nice feature. But I can’t figure out if it’s purely fashion, or if I’m supposed to cinch it for a tighter fit. When I cinch it, it really doesn’t do much at all, so I suspect it’s just a fashion strap. However, I don’t like the idea of a loose strap on top of my hood, I feel it could easily snag on something, like a chair lift at the ski slopes.The hood has down in it, so it provides true warmth and coverage for my head. The hood is removable, and the fur is removable from the hood.The pockets are large, conveniently placed, and easy to use. There are 4 outer pockets and two hidden inner pockets.I like the clean styling of the coat, I feel like I look really nice in it. It met my expectations in most areas, but fell short in a few other areas.

So soft, Versatile, and Warm
Disclaimer: My rating system: EVERYTHING starts at a 5, and goes from there. I thoroughly read the descriptions and if I don’t like the description, I simply don’t order the item. If the product shows up as advertised they get a 5. If there are unadvertised flaws, they are duly noted and stars removed accordingly. I clearly specify why any stars were removed, since what bothered me might not mean anything to another purchaser. This coat gets 5 stars. It is nice lightweight duck down, and a weather resistance outer, with a nice and SOFT fur trimmed hood. It is expandable too. Has side zippers to open up, and it has a double zipper – one that open up and one that opens down. At around $200 this is a great price – especially for duck down. I am enjoying the summer right now, I am looking forward to the colder weather. This coat is well made and has lots of pockets for keys, phones, gloves and more. A GREAT ITEM!

More of a Chilly Day Coat
I had high hopes for this Fitouch Arctic Shield parka. Ordered 4 of their coats to try out for Alaska.The name made me think it would be great for real winter weather, but it’s not quite as warm as they advertise. It’s okay for a chilly day, but I wouldn’t count on it for anything really cold or windy.Just like the other jackets from this brand, the fit runs small. You’ll want to order a size up to make sure it’s comfortable, especially if you’re planning to wear anything other than a t-shirt underneath.The quality feels a bit overstated, too. It’s not a bad coat but doesn’t feel like a high-end winter parka. It works, but it’s not what I hoped for based on the description. It’s a decent jacket as long as you know what to expect and you aren’t planning on facing truly arctic conditions.

Warm stylish jacket. I LOVE IT.
Wow. This thing is COMFORTABLE. I like the feel of the inner liner and the sleeves. This thing is very well made and it is a great deal for the price point. I’m an outdoorsy person so I take my jacket warmth seriously – this is a good jacket. I love the fluffy hood. I love the big pockets. The look is stylish. The fit is great (go bigger so you can layer). It is definitely warm and will keep you warm. I love the color. It has YKK zippers and the stitching is good quality.
