    Quality ballet shoes for kids
We always buy Capezio ballet shoes for my daughter. We have gone through 5 pairs in 4 years, and we just keep getting the next size as her foot grows. They are durable and worth the money. We always buy 1 size bigger than her shoe size, because I feel they run small.

Pretty good ballet shoe & it’s Capezio
I’ve started adult ballet (exercise) and needed some ballet shoes. I’ve never ordered shoes off internet before because I am hard to fit. I went ahead because I needed them immediately and the price was right. They came in exactly on time. I ordered an 8.5 medium (using some of the reviewer comments). My street shoes are usually medium to wide around the ball/toes and super narrow on the heel, and typically 8.5 in American made, but can range from 7.5 – 8.5 with others. These Capezio ballet slippers fit pretty well. Too wide at ball (and arch) of foot. I’ve pulled the elastic strings as tight as possible and that has helped. They fit pretty good, pulled tight for me to wear in class, but still a bit loose at the arch. They are a bit tight at the toes (length), but I expect them to loosen slightly with wearing. The way we are working in class, I imagine that I will need to purchase again. The next time I purchase Capezios, I will order 8.5 regular. I am pleased with the purchase and the quality.

Great fit as long as you get the right size
I am a size 8.5 (I wear nikes mostly). My foot is 24.8 cm. I never wear narrow or wide shoes but I purchased a 9.5 Narrow in these ballet shoes. I definitely believe you should go up at least one whole size (I looked at their sizing chart and an 8.5 would’ve been a 24.6 cm so I wouldn’t order my street shoe size because it would’ve been too small). I was conflicted between a 9 and 9.5 but so glad I chose 9.5 because my toes are comfortably at the top.Feels fine with or without socks. Since these run wide, I’m glad I chose the narrow fit. They were still a tiny bit loose but tightening the strings helped solve that.

    Nice shoes, but…
The shoes are good quality. The fit was a little tricky. I wear 8 or occasionally 8.5 M in street shoes, depending on the shoe (8.5 is always roomy), so I ordered 8.5. Too tight in the toe box, and not sure whether they were long enough or not, as they are supposed to fit rather close to the foot. I know they stretch a bit and conform to the foot, but they say not to keep them if they are actually uncomfortable, which they were. I really didn’t know whether to just go up to a 9M, or actually get a Wide (which I never do in shoes). Got the 9M and they are better. Just enough extra to go around.Ballet shoes always seem to gap around the sides; just pull the elastic tie to take up the slack, tie it and tuck it inside the shoe. The 8.5s came in a red Capezio box and had a red logo inside and a ballerina on the outer sole. The 9s came in a poly bag, have a different, grey logo inside and a stylized “X” on the outer sole. I wondered whether I had a legit product, but the photos from Capezio do show the latter style. The problem was that the 9s arrived with a noticeable number of what looked like black animal hairs inside the shoes. They seemed perfect otherwise, but that was kind of gross. I took photos and told Amazon about it. I didn’t care enough to return them, and they did offer a minor comp.

    Comfortable
These ballet shoes are really comfortable, and my daughter loves dancing in them! The color is beautiful, and the material feels great. Overall, we’re very happy with them!

    Beautiful and durable slippers
We have been using this brand for years and they’re the best. They fit well and last until they’re outgrown. The only brand we’ll buy for dance!

Cute details but runs very wide, even if you order in a Narrow size
Pros, beautiful ballet pink with cute stitching , there’s even a place to write your dancers name.Cons, Wide too wide. Usually a 7 , ordered these in a 7.5 regular and 7.5 narrow, even the narrow was too wide.I would order this for slippers around the house but not for ballet class.

Capezio 7.5 versus Bloch Dansoft 4.5
Needed nude tone shoes for my daughters 5th grade musical and I ordered both the Capezio Daisy and the Bloch Dansoft. My daughter’s foot length is 8.75ish inches, she wears street shoes medium width kids 4.5 / ladies 6.5. So I order according to reviews and / or charts. For the Capezio I ordered the 7.5 and a Bloch 4.5. Both are very good shoes,. The uppers are soft leather, the soles are suede, both outside length from heel to toe is about 9 inches, both has the tie bow to tighten. The differences you can see in my pictures. The color of the Capezio is more nude tone (Bloch is more pinkish), the inner sole is cloth material (whereas the Bloch inner sole is suede), the outer sole is longer than the Bloch and the top of the Bloch shoe is a tad wider. I think on both shoes I could have gone a size smaller or narrower and it would still fit. But I’m going to keep the Capezio and return the Bloch not because the Bloch is not a good shoe (it is very good and comparable) but because the color of the Capezio (nude) fitted our needs better and the fit of the Capezio felt less loose on her foot. Price was within a $3 difference ($22 to $25).

I love these ballet shoes though I prefer the split sole for ballet classes. I ordered these as I liked the daisies design inside. I need to find a way to cut the sole, if not I’ll use them for other gym exercises, where the split sole is not so important. The elastic bands are already sewn, though I find it a bit too tight for my feet. From my experience with other ballet shoes I recommend to be worn with some socks otherwise during ballet pointed toe it is easy for the nail to cut into the leather, and make a little hole. It happened to me with a pair of Juliet ballet shoes, even with my toe nails cut to a minimum. The leather is soft, not like in street shoes and easy to damage. I ordered size 8 and I wear size 8 or 7 ½ in street shoes. They fit really well.
