I made sure to read the other reviews thoroughly before purchasing, and I’m glad I did! As many state, the difference in numerical size from street shoe to ballet shoe is very different. I wear a 9 medium in flat shoes. My feet are a medium width, maybe a little on the wider side of medium. I wanted something to fit snug, so I purchased a 6.5 narrow. They fit very well. The first two wears were a little tight, but they have since molded to my foot and are very comfortable. The only thing I don’t like, is that the elastic strap is too tight for me. I have a higher arch, so the strap digs in more than is comfortable. I have been wearing it tucked under my foot. After tightening the drawstring, they stay on, so I’m not sure if I will replace the elastic or not.The leather is a good quality, soft and smooth, well stitched.I bought these so I could exercise on the wood floor in bedroom without slipping in socks or feeling like I was too rough on my bare feet. These can slide when I need to, but don’t slip out under me. They’re also durable enough for more vigorous exercise moves.I also love the way they look on. Just wearing them makes my ballet workout tapes feel totally different!Overall, pretty, comfy, and well made for a good price!

The Perfect Dance Sheos!
These white leather ballet shoes are absolutely fantastic! The leather is incredibly soft and flexible, allowing for a full range of motion and a perfect fit that hugs the foot beautifully. There was no painful break-in period, and they felt comfortable from the very first time my daughter wore them. The split sole provides excellent arch support and helps to point the foot cleanly, which her dance teacher has even commented on. They are well-constructed and have held up wonderfully to daily practice. These are a great quality, reliable pair of ballet shoes that I highly recommend for any dancer!

Don’t forget to order 2 sizes down in a ballet shoe
I took ballet for 15 years when I was young and had always had Bloch ballet shoes. I’m back in ballet as an adult and decided to buy Capezio shoes — what a mistake! They were beyond terrible with the toes tight and narrow and the rest of the shoe an awkward fit. I bought these Bloch in black which I love — it’s a matte black. I wear a 9.5 normal in a street shoe, so I ordered 7.5 normal in this ballet shoe — be aware that you have to select WIDE and it will appear as “Normal” width. If you select just a numerical size, it will be a narrow. Once I figured that out, I have a perfect fit! The toe portion is not too narrow; the strap is at a perfect location, and the width was perfect after pulling the adjustable tie. This shoe has a full sole on the bottom which is important to me in doing releves — the split sole bottom in the Capezio was awful — I felt I was balancing on a coin stuck to the bottom of my shoe. These are leather soles inside and out with brush cotton sides on the inside. I’m sure these will last decades — just like my last pair. Bloch has kept its excellent quality over the years, so don’t waste your time looking at a different brand.

I wear US women size 6 or EU 36 in 90% of street shoes. Always medium width. I got my first pair of these shoes in a size 4C (medium). They fit snugly when I first tried them on, but after 4 months of adult beginner ballet (twice a week), they started to feel very loose. I can still wear them, but they would sometimes bug me during center. Also, I had to pull the elastic so tight, that they would dig into my heels without socks on.I just sized down to a size 3.5B (narrow), and they fit much better. Mind you, I do not have narrow feet, so these fit very wide. I’m wondering if I should size down to a 3B just in case they become too loose after some wear, but as the size 3.5B is on sale right now for $8, I will keep them and reassess after a few months.In comparison, I wear sizes 3.5C in the Bloch Performa, 5.5B in the Bloch Synchrony (tho this shoe just doesn’t fit right for me), and 7 medium in the Capezio Juliet.Aside from the sizing, I’m a big fan of these, and their are my leather full sole shoes of choice. I have also tried the Capezio Daisy, but these shoes mold much better to my feet.TL;DR: Amazing shoes. Size down 2.5 sizes from your street shoes (for women) and consider narrow sizes even if you have medium-width feet.

Shoe seems well-made, but sizing is a problem
Quality was good, but the fit was very strange. Also, this shoe’s size is not consistent with other Bloch ballet shoe sizes. Bought two pairs and had to return both due to wildly inconsistent fit. I take size 9 and ordered size 6.5 (same as my Bloch ballet shoes that fit), which turned out to be too long and very tight. Exchanged the 6.5 for for size 6.0 Wide, which was much too short and very wide. Other than the show-stopping sizing problem, the actual shoe quality seemed very good to excellent. I have not yet cracked the code for figuring out the correct size in this Bloch shoe, but do not have to patience to try more than twice. May you have better luck with this.

Perfect
When I got them they looked nice and leathery now the bottom of the shoe is starting to Scrabble up but that’s just how shoes get once you wear them. I thought they weren’t gonna fit when I got a bigger size but they fit good because you can adjust them. They stay on your foot nicely. And they are not heavy at all.
