    The best ballet shoes
I have been teaching ballet for 20 years, & these are my absolute favorite shoes. I wear a 9.5-10 in street shoes & buy an 8 in these. If I was still dancing, I would buy a 7.5. To everyone out there who says these are too small, that is how ballet shoes are supposed to fit. You want them to fit your feet like a glove & show off every part of your beautiful tendu. You do not go on your toes in these! That is what pointe shoes are for. You balance on the balls of your feet in releve. The elastic inside is there so it will hug the arch of your foot. If these are slipping off your heels, then they are too big. These last me 11 months, & I teach 6 classes a week in them. I can’t believe they last this long, considering they are canvas. Bloch split soles have been my go to shoe for at least 25 years. I highly recommend these, & you don’t have to go to the dance store to buy them. 🩰

Runs a size small if you go by the chart, but great shoe!
LOVE how this shoe conforms to my foot. It took me three tries to find the shoe size that works. I wear a size 8 for the most part in my street size, so I started with a size 6 as the chart says. It was way too small so I then went with a 6.5, which was still a tad too small for my liking. The 7 fits me perfectly. I’m excited to test it out in ballet class tomorrow!

    Good but better with padding
I am a size 6-6 1/2 in street shoes and ordered these in a size 8. I tried ordering smaller but they were unbelievably tight. I have slightly wider feet and toes that need to spread. I also wanted a larger size so I could add two layers of shoe pads, which has been a game changer. A lot of ballet flats are unfinished on the inside, and I find the lumpy seams, along with the lack of insole, very uncomfortable. Ordering a larger size and padding them out has significantly improved my dancing. They stay on just fine and still feel snug and comfy. My teacher said my feet looked beautiful, so I don’t think it’s obvious.

    THE BEST
This is my first time trying these particular ballet flats and they are awesome! My last pair were Sodanca brand and I did not like them very much. They would slip down my heel and has those annoying drawstring ties. The Block flats are so pretty and accentuate your point. Plus the elastic is really comfy and I didn’t feel like there were slipping off during class like my other shoes. I found them to be TTS. I’m usually a women’s 10 and got an 8 and they fit perfect.

Full size and one width too small.
I followed the sizing directions. I wear street size 9 regular, so I ordered ballet size 7B. They are so small that the leather heal is too far towards my arch and is very uncomfortable for my heal to stand on half a heal pad and half off the heal pad. The worse part is my toes are crammed in there so tight, I lose circulation and after wearing them for while, I started getting bruises where my toes were pushed into the toes next to them. My instructor said they are way too small.UPDATE: I ordered size 8C, I can’t believe these are the same shoe, they are delightful! Very comfortable! I can’t believe one size makes that huge of a difference. The heal is perfect, there is plenty of toe width, and yet they are tight enough to stay put. Wow! Love this stretchy canvas. Too bad I can’t get my money back for my first ones 🙁

    Extremely small!
I gave 3 starts due to the sizing. These run very very small! I measured my daughter’s foot which was 8.2 inches. I ordered a size 2.5 which (according to the size chart) would measure 8.3 inches heel to toe. When I got the shoe in it was extremely small! I pulled out my ruler to measure the shoe and it only measured 7in. That’s a whole 1 1/4 inches short. I was upset because she has a recital coming up and now I have to order a different pair and pray they get here on time. I re-ordered a size 4 and hope they will fit. I suggest ordering 3 sizes up from what the size chart suggests. My daughter is a street size 2.

    Nice and flexable at arch

    LOVE.

  10. KARLA

These are the best ballet shoes because they allow the foot to bend 🙂
