Best flat iron/purchase ever.
This could be the best flat iron I have ever purchased. I have had nearly every popular flat iron brand over the last 25+ yrs. I have had CHI, FHI, Sedu, Babyliss, Rusk, HSI, and a lot of lesser known brands in between.The main thing I have noticed is that my hair responds best to tourmaline irons, which have been using over the past decade, but they have become increasingly harder to find and more EXPENSIVE. Enter Nition. The last good flat iron I had was a Sedu tourmaline and prior to that Babyliss tourmaline. The Sedu I purchased was used after I tried some generic flat irons which burned and fried my hair. I was struggling to find an iron that my hair would respond to. After some time, the Sedu stopped working and I was back on the hunt.I purchased two other brands from Amazon that were just awful for my hair. I took a stab at purchasing the Nition after reading a number of positive reviews. Admittedly, I didn’t have very high hopes because the price was so affordable (sad, I know). Upon its arrival I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t really get excited about packaging, but wow was I blown away by the presentation. The storage/cooling case and the glove was such a nice touch. It honestly is something that I would expect from a more high-end product. The iron itself is sleek and lightweight with a pretty LED digital temperature control dial at the base. But most of all. The performance is phenomenal. I have fine AA hair that normally does not curl tightly. I can generally get a “bend”, but a full curl is nearly impossible for me. This iron also heats up very fas, so very little wait time. The other thing is my hair is generally pretty shiny on its own, but I have had some irons that have made my hair look dull. This one not only adds shine, but it keeps the frizz away also. Finally, my hair doesn’t feel dried out farted days of daily usage. I honestly love this iron. I look forward to how quickly I can curl my short pixie. It just works so well.I only had one con with my purchase and that was the the temperature control skipped several increments. I could manage to make it work for me, and initially I thought it was a feature, but I read that it might be a design flaw. After three months, I decided I would reach out to customer service about the matter. To be honest, I didn’t really expect to get a response. And since it wasn’t “broken” and I like it so well, I probably would not have been very upset if I did not get a response-but wow. Last Wednesday I emailed customer service about my issue. Within two hours, I got a response back from the after sales rep, Rain. She was so kind and accommodating in her email. She didn’t hesitate to to start working on my replacement immediately, since it was still under warranty. She asked me for some information that I provided quickly and she immediately processed my replacement. I couldn’t believe that Saturday, before 12:00 pm, I had received my replacement. It’s working perfectly. I must say this has to be the best purchasing experience I have ever had. This is the longest review I have ever written, which says a lot because I am usually kinda lazy about reviewing products. I just want everyone to buy this product so that it will always be around! The product is wonderful, but the level of customer service that I received was phenomenal.Well, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I hope this review helps someone who may be on the fence about purchasing.

Great Iron with no pulling
This is my second flat iron. I use one at work(stylist) and love it so I ordered one for my personal use. I am amazed at how fast this heats up and the fact it swivels for easy use. I use this for Keratin treatments at the salon and very happy with the results

Fantastic straightener
I have used so many hair straighteners and paid a lot of money in the past for them. This works better than ALL of them combined. The shape of the straightener is a little bit curved so I can easily add curls and waves in literally ONE attempt. My other straighteners are flat on the plastic part so it takes a lot more effort to make a curl. This has a curved outside so it makes beautiful curls. I always put loose waves in my hair with my straightener and I’m so pleased that it left my hair soft and shiny. It heats up so fast I didn’t even realize it was ready to go in 10 sec! I love the carrying and organizer pouch.I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and was very concerned this would be a bad flat iron, but I can confirm the reviews! This is a great buy! I know my three sisters are going to go nuts over it once they see how amazing my hair looks!!! hahaha!In comparison to other irons, this also has a higher temperature range so it gets hot enough temperature for coarse/thick hair like mine. I tried it at 410 and it worked perfectly, and it didn’t feel like it was burning my hair at all. My hair was also cool to the touch which is unusual for a flat iron. This was worth the investment and I’m so excited to get my hair looking great every day now. I bought this because my last flat iron that I paid $100 bit the dust when I dropped it by accident. It didn’t work that great anyway honestly and I really had to work at it… I’m very happy to have paid less for an even better, safer and more efficient product. This one glides so easily through my hair without snagging at all.I didn’t realize there was a gold color and got the champagne gold. But I like the champagne too. The locking feature is nice for when it’s cooling down and I put it right back in the case for storage. 🙂

Great…but didn’t last….
I really liked this flat iron at first. It heats quickly, had a locking feature, and smoothed my hair with minimal damage. However, after only a few months, the locking mechanism would no longer work. This was inconvienent but still workable. But soon after, the plates on either side will now click out of place and apart so that the gap between them does not allow you to clamp onto the hair. It is virtually useless now. I normally would not pay this much for a flat iron but took a chance on this one – a decision I regret.UPDATE: Although I first rated this item 2 stars for the reasons given above, I came back to update and raise to 4 star due to their outstanding customer service. The company, upon learning I was displeased with the purchase, immediately contacted me and offered me a replacement. It was sent out promptly and arrived in just a couple days. This straight iron really does work very well – smooth gliding and one-pass straightening. My only issue with it was the lock mechanism that caused the plates to gap apart and Nition made it right!

After 5 years, still works great
Bought this flat iron February of 2020. Although I don’t and have not used it everyday since, it still works perfectly! Does not fry my hair and is a great value for the price. Highly recommend! If this one stops working, I will be buying another.

Love at first sight. I had to write a review straight away!! Brand new wrapped up in plastic( see pictures) So far so good seeming I just got it today. I have long thick coarse and very heavy hair and it works very well on my hair to straighten. I haven’t yet tried to do waves or curls but when I do I will update as I am very much inlove with this flat iron. This is my first flat iron and I’m amazed so far. Great money for value, heats up in 15 seconds. It comes with get accessories as well( hair clips, toothpick hair comb, heat resistant glove, the case is heat resistant aswell) I just absolutely love it!! The last 2 photos are it locked and not locked. When i straighten my hair it does not oull ym hair and my hair is much smoother and softer and more shiny.(i never added anything to my hair either, i just waited for my hair to air dry.) If I could give 10 star I would. I read some reviews and I hope it lasts longer than what others said because I really really love this flat iron sooo much.Did I mention that I absolutely love this Flat Iron? 😄 what are you waiting for, buy it now!!

This has been the best straightner I’ve ever had. Does an amazing job with frizz and smoothing, while making my hair super shiny. The lock mechanism recently failed so I contacted the Nition customer service department and Rain was amazing. She sent me a whole new straightner and it arrived in less than 2 days. I can’t say enough of the exceptional customer service from this associate. Well done and will continue to support Nition products!
