Shiny and pretty sterling silver but chain is very thin and clasp is confusing
Although this sterling silver necklace is not without its merits, it’s rather expensive for what it is ($15.99 for 1.1mm). The website doesn’t clearly state the length of the chain. The photo seems to suggest that it’s 25”, but it’s only about 17.5” even counting the clasp and bar at the other end, so probably about 16” of actual chain. The chain is extremely thin and while the seller suggests that it’s still strong despite being “dainty”, at a minimum, I would worry about getting kinks in the necklace. I also think that all but the tiniest of pendants would seem bulky in comparison with the chain. The seller’s webpage creates some confusion over the metal used for the necklace. The title says the necklace is made of 925 sterling silver, as does the description at the top. Further down the page, under product specifications, the material is listed as “yellow gold” and the metal stamp is listed as “14k (585)” but the metal is listed as “sterling silver.” 14k refers to 14 karat gold (14 parts gold out of 24), which is equivalent to 58.3% pure gold. 14K is the same as what Europeans label as “585”, meaning 58.5% gold content. So anything labeled 14K or 585 is gold. In contrast, sterling silver is stamped with “925,” which means it’s 92.5% pure silver. At any rate, I did confirm that it’s 925 sterling silver (see photo) and it’s very pretty and shiny. I like the cable chain design, which is smooth and flat. My biggest issue with the necklace is that the clasp is tiny and initially difficult to use. The seller’s website describes it as a “spring-ring clasp,” but in looking up what that is, it’s not anything like this clasp. It took me a few tries to even figure out how the clasp worked (by putting the rod at one end through the little ball at the other end, which wasn’t obvious because I thought the clasp needed to be opened and used the way clasps usually are). The clasp does, however, have the advantage that the length of the necklace is adjustable by pulling the end with the rod further through the ball at the other end.

Not even CLOSE to the advertised length – beware!
My wife had been looking for a thin, adjustable chain to wear with various pendants and various neckline types, but this is NOT a suitable one for her. First, the company is VERY misleading to say it is 25″ long, as it’s barely 16″ not including the clasp and straight end that fits through the adjuster bead. Therefore, it fits her almost like a choker, and is NOWHERE as long as it’s shown on the model. I almost gave only one star, but the necklace IS pretty and shiny, and the idea of it being adjustable is good. Still, I would not waste money on this chain because at only 16″, there’s nothing you can really adjust unless maybe you’re child-sized. Would definitely not recommend.

Neat adjustment chain, looks good but delicate
I like having a single chain to use for a variety of lengths. It allows me to adjust my necklace to match my outfit without having to switch out the entire necklace. This is a great option when traveling. It eliminates the need for bringing several necklace lengths that can get tangled if stored together.The adjuster works well and holds the desired length well. The chain is bright and shiny just like a silver chain. Where this item falls short is its delicate nature. The clasp does not feel very durable so you have to be careful with it. I would hesitate to bring this as my only chain/necklace on a trip for fear that it might break.The chain arrives unattached. In other words, the end of it, which is a short straight piece, is not inserted into the ball that it slips thru for adjusting. The ball is very tiny and has a small hole, which the chain slides thru, which has a rubber gasket inside. It doesn’t feel durable being so delicate and small and I feel that over time with lots of use/adjustment, the gasket would fail (fall out) and then all you are left with is a long straight chain because there is no way to clasp the ends together if the gasket stops working. It would be better if this chain had the adjustment ball but also a ring to attach the ends together. Then, at least you will have a longer chain that is still useable even if the adjustment function stops working.The price is ok, but the lack of using the chain if the gasket fails makes this not a good value. It would be safer to have two different chain length and deal with the small inconvenience of switching out your necklace.
